The hybrid track is not a week-long program. It is the same months-long Language of Breath curriculum as our online track, an in-person capstone in Brian Head, Utah where you also get a professional photoshoot for your practice, and a full year of post-graduation support through The Residency. The only difference between hybrid and online is where the capstone happens.
The same complete Language of Breath method taught in the online track, spread across months, not days: functional breathing mechanics, a trained sequence for facilitating deep listening practices, a system for designing and documenting sessions, real assessment tools, and the ethics of holding space for someone else's nervous system. Interoception training is grounded in Dr. Cynthia Price's systematic research, not treated as an informal add-on.
Once your coursework is complete, you finish in Brian Head, Utah, practicing facilitation directly with faculty in the room, correcting your technique in real time, not over a screen. You also leave with a professional photoshoot you can use for your own practice.
A full year of post-graduation support: weekly Language Labs with faculty and fellow graduates, monthly professional development sessions with guest speakers, and ongoing access to our resource library, forms, music database, and community chat.
You arrive in Brian Head, Utah having already completed months of coursework, the same material online students work through, including the full listening-practice sequence on yourself. This time in the room is not spent reviewing what you already know. It is spent putting your hands on the actual skill: practicing facilitation directly on real people, guiding group breathing, writing the recap after, with faculty watching closely enough to correct the small things that are hard to catch on your own. You also sit for a professional photoshoot while you are there, so you leave with real images for your own business, not just a certificate.
Elevation, altitude, and a genuinely different environment from wherever you live also change how your own breath behaves during the capstone, which is its own kind of education. You will notice things about your own nervous system in Brian Head that a screen at home would never surface.
By the time the capstone ends, you have practiced facilitation enough times, in front of enough people, with enough direct correction, that it stops feeling like a technique you're performing and starts feeling like something you actually know how to do.
The capstone is an intense, real breakthrough for most people who attend it. We want to be honest about what it is and is not. It is not the whole credential, and it is not meant to be the whole story of how you learn to facilitate. The months of coursework before it, and the full year of Residency support after it, are what turn that one powerful capstone into a facilitation practice you can actually run for years.
Every hybrid and online graduate enters The Residency, a full year of built-in support so you are never building your practice alone. It runs in parallel with the months of coursework and the capstone, then continues well past graduation.
Every graduate in the Language of Breath community gathers weekly to breathe together, ask questions, and get direct support from faculty and peers.
Deep dives, field updates, and guest speakers that build both your scientific knowledge and your business skills, month after month.
Ongoing access to our forms, music database, and resource library, plus a community chat so you always have somewhere to turn as you build your practice.
People who learn facilitation best with hands-on correction, not just remote feedback. People who want a cohort and a shared capstone experience to build real relationships with, not just classmates in a video call. People who can make the travel work and would rather have that in-person finish, plus the professional photoshoot that comes with it, than not.
If none of that describes your life right now, that does not mean certification is out of reach. It means the online track is probably the better fit. You still get the full months-long curriculum and the same year-long Residency, with the option to add this exact in-person capstone experience later.
